Hefei University(HFU) captured one grand prize and five additional awards at the National Finals of 19th “Siemens Cup” China Intelligent Manufacturing Challenge (CIMC) , which concluded at Taiyuan University of Technology on August 15. The competition was held under the guidance of China’s Ministry of Education and co-organized by the China Simulation Federation and Siemens (China) Co., Ltd.

This year’s edition featured 12 competition events and drew more than 36,000 participants from 10,737 teams representing 968 universities nationwide. Among them, HFU teams won the grand prize and a second prize in Industrial Hardware R&D; took first place in Intelligent Production Line Digital-Twin Design and Development; claimed one Second Prize each in Discrete Industry Automation, Intelligent Equipment Design, Digital-Twin Manufacturing, and the Free Exploration category, which placed HFU tied for the fourth place among provincial undergraduate universities in terms of the number of Grand Prize wins.
